Educational Leave - Bildungsurlaub
Employees in NRW and other German states have a statutory entitlement to one week of paid educational leave a year.
Our Intensive
Courses with 6 lessons a day are officially recognized as
educational leave in North Rhine-Westphalia and other German states. Educational
leave in Dusseldorf is held and recognized in NRW due to a cooperation
with the LiW (Lohmarer Institut für Weiterbildung e.V.).
The Arbeitnehmerweiterbildungs-Gesetz NW (AwbG - i.e. legislation regarding further education) regulates the extent, subject matter and educational leave entitlement for North Rhine-Westphalia.
Information about educational leave application procedures and regulations is available at: www.bildungsurlaub.de
In the event that your employer rejects your educational leave application, we would be glad to provide you with further assistance.
